One of the most recent people to try out for America’s Got Talent went back on stage and wowed the judges once more.
Courtney Hadwin is probably someone you know if you watched the last season of American Idol. After her interview was shown on TV, it quickly spread around the world.
Howie Mandel, one of the judges on America’s Got Talent, gave Courtney the third Golden Buzzer of the season.
The young girl told Mel B, one of the judges, that she was scared when she walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage for her tryout. Courtney shouldn’t worry, the judge was kind enough to tell her.
She asked Courtney what her favorite subject was in school. Not surprisingly, it was music. Courtney doesn’t have a favorite piece of music to study in school, but it’s safe to say she likes the oldies based on her tryout.
When she sang “Hard to Handle” by Otis Reading, she ruled the stage with her long, lanky arms and drew attention to every move she made.
During the screening rounds, a Golden Buzzer is one of the best things that can happen to an artist. So, Courtney’s return for America’s Got Talent: The Champions isn’t a big surprise.
This season, the best acts from all of the Got Talent shows, not just AGT, are coming back. Susan Boyle got the first Golden Buzzer of the season.
For her return to AGT, Courtney decided to sing her first written song, a rock and roll tune called “Pretty Little Thing.”
America’s Got Talent put the video on their YouTube page, where fans from all over the world have left over 3,000 comments.
One of their fans wrote:
I liked her from the beginning, so it’s too bad she didn’t win. It’s amazing to watch Courtney go on stage and sing a song she wrote. She’s very good at what she does. Keep singing, Courtney! This song is great, and you did a great job with it.
Courtney, like another AGT star, Darci Lynne Farmer, didn’t get enough votes to move on in the competition and was sent home after week 2.
How did you feel about the way Courtney sang this song?
